Many complex abdominal tumors can arise in or around the digestive system. Many cases are discovered incidentally on CT scans done for other reasons or for subtle symptoms. The approach for treating these kinds of tumors requires a multidisciplinary team including a surgeon, an oncologist and other specialists.
